It is important to us that our children understand the significance of this day. Our 9 year old reminded us last night that we have to get up at dawn and "go and watch lots of people wearing poppies", she said it very seriously and solemnly so while she still has a little way to go to understand fully (children should be spared the full comprehension of war if possible) at least she is already taking on the importance of it.
