Copenhagen idiocy continues ... in New Zealand

Unbelievable!
Wellington will host the next step in global efforts to address climate change, with a summit on agricultural emissions planned for March.

Associate Climate Change Issues Minister Tim Groser revealed details of the summit yesterday after arriving back from the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.

Delegates from 20 to 30 countries were expected to come to Wellington for the summit, including the United States, India, France, Indonesia, the Netherlands and Canada.

It would be a follow-up to the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases, a multimillion-dollar agreement that New Zealand led in Copenhagen to fund research into finding ways to rein in the carbon emissions caused by farming.

"I wouldn't be surprised if it's the next big event in the climate change calendar," Mr Groser said of the Wellington summit.

"We are not going to take the foot off the accelerator on this aspect of climate change because of a rather ordinary result in Copenhagen."
How do we get rid of these morons in Government???

Wait two years to vote them out. Who know what damage they will do in that space of time.

Oh well, if there's no way of getting rid of them, we can at point out their idiocy at every turn.

  1. If they were serious, instead of picking locations that require the maximum number of travel miles for the maximum number of people, they would organise the world's first mass video conference as an indicator of doing business with the environment in mind.

With a 100% electronic information output, rather than the forests they cut down to spread countless documents to every attendee, rather than an "on demand download" approach.

    Hypocritical idiots.

  2. Good post Lucia...but who will we vote for in two years? For once, I really don't know.

  3. I don't know either, Fletch. But then, when it comes down it, elections aren't determined by people like us - they're determined by the masses.

I think we might need to organise a prayer campaign for our leaders, to help them guide our country wisely rather than being foolishly swayed by every silly fad.

  4. These people aren't morons--they're cunning, greedy and besotted with power.
